WHY SHOULD I INSURE?

A common concern is whether or not it is actually necessary to insure a shipment. Despite the security that professional packaging offers, every shipment is subject to risks both human and beyond human control.

Although the percentage of damage is very limited (annual average of 4% of the total services performed), Franzosini Traslochi offers its customers additional protection against eventualities, so that they can be reimbursed in the event of damage, theft, fire, etc. Thanks to international partners with over 100 years of experience, we offer two main insurance solutions to accommodate not only your wishes but also your pockets:

  • “First absolute risk” , i.e. the classic theft/fire insurance, cheaper and suitable for shipments packaged by the customer or for new goods received already packaged.
  • “All risks” , against all risks: damage, theft, fire, etc. is the most suitable insurance to fully cover your move.

It is important to note that you are only entitled to compensation if you have taken out an insurance policy and that insurance companies only accept compensation for removals for which both the original packing and the unpacking upon delivery have been carried out by professional removal companies. If the customer wishes to proceed with these steps independently, insurance companies do not assume any risks.

Are you thinking about the electrical/hydraulic disconnection and connection?

We take care of the hydraulic disconnections (with the exception of boilers, water heaters, and air conditioners) and the chandeliers (except in special cases).

The connection to the electrical and hydraulic system of the appliances is not included in the standard package of services offered because, as per current regulations, they require the intervention of certified professionals.

WHEN AND HOW DO YOU PAY FOR THE SERVICE?

Payment terms are specified in each quote. They vary based on the type of move and whether the balance is paid by the individual or by an account. Payment is made exclusively by bank transfer.

IMPORTANT: It is good to know that in addition to being a delicate item, the piano may be subject to particular restrictions for importation in some countries in the case of the instrument having ivory keys.
